During her time there, she also provided everything from crime to hurricanes. After three and a half years in Texas, Abby came back to the Midwest and to FOX4. Note that, she started as a Multimedia Journalist working primarily in Lawrence, Kansas. Later on, she anchored the 10 p.m. news alongside Phil Witt for about six years.
Previously, she worked at KOMU through the University of Missouri, learning every aspect of the job from photography and editing to producing and anchoring. Edens also interned at a non-profit organization in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Edens has won several awards due to her tenure in journalism such as a Barbara Jordan Media Award, an Emma, multiple Emmy nominations, an NLGJA award, a MORE Award, and an Edward R. Murrow Regional Award. Her passion includes telling stories that can positively impact people’s lives via investigation or education.
