Kozak’s interest in weather began at age 4 due to a giant stocking that used to create the iconic tornado in The Wizard Of Oz. Actually, Andrew never really cared to watch the rest of the movie, once the color kicked in, he wore out the VHS tape rewinding to the tornado part over and over again. Kozak enrolled at State Island Technical High School in 1996 and graduated in 2000. Afterward, he graduated from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Oneonta with a Bachelor of Science degree in meteorology and internship experience at WABC in New York City. Six days after graduating, Andrew was out at his first on-air job in Casper, forecasting the weather and cohosting the morning show for the ABC affiliate.

From 2004 June to December 2005, he was TV meteorologist at KTWO TV and later a meteorologist and reporter at KSN TV Wichita till February 2010. At KSN TV Wichita, Kozak served on the noon and weekend shows, as fill-in for chief and morning shift having an extensive severe weather experience. Moreover Andrew was the host of Wednesday’s Child & quot segment and an entertainment reporter. At Fox 23 Tulsa, Kozak was a meteorologist and reporter for 2 years and 5 months since February 2010 where he was besides on-camera weather reporting and promoting station events and community programs.
