Previously, he hosted Forbes on Fox and Fox News Live weekdays before joining the Fox News Channel. He hosts Bulls & Bears on Fox News on the Fox Business Network and other Fox specials. David was awarded the Inter-American Press Association’s (IAPA) Tom Wallace Award and IAPA’s 1992 and 1995 Daily Gleaner Award.

Asman joined FOX News Channel (FNC) in 1997 and added value to the launching of  FOX Business Network (FBN) in 2007. Currently, he is working as a guest anchor on programs across FNC and FBN. There before, he hosted  FBN’s post-market program Bulls & Bears on weekdays 5-6 PM.  In addition, he worked as a  co-anchor on FBN’s After the Bell (weekdays 4-5 PM, which was number one in its timeslot. While working at FNC, Asman anchored the weekday Fox News Live. In 2005, he was named head of FNC’s documentary unit where he hosted a series of investigative specials, like The Debate Continues and U.N. Blood Money, a three-part series that examined the oil-for-food controversy and like Global Warming

In 1995, Asman started working as the Wall Street Journal’s editor, before joining FNC. In 1983 he started writing and editing newspapers, where he edited the “Manager’s Journal” and the “Americas” column. He has also written over 100 articles from Latin America and elsewhere. In 1994, he earned the title of senior editor for the Journal’s editorial page and served administrative responsibilities. Asman won an Award Inter American Press Association’s (IAPA) Tom Wallace Award for coverage of Latin America in the Americas column in the year 1986. He also edited “The Wall Street Journal on Management contributing Through Synergy.” this added value which earned him  IAPA’s 1992 and 1995 Daily Gleaner Awards for his articles on free trade in Cuba and Mexico’s economy respectively.

Asman resigned from  The Wall Street Journal to join Fox News in 1997, one year after the news channel’s inception. He has interviewed many newsmakers, politicians, and business leaders such as the Duchess of York, Sarah,  Congressman Ron Paul, Rupert Murdoch, Barry Diller, Michael Eisner, Steve Forbes, William F. Buckley, Jr,  Securities and Exchange Commission chairman Harvey Pitt; and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.
