After graduating from University, Tillman began his broadcast career. First, he worked as the Weekend Meteorologist at WAPT-TV in Jackson. One year later, he moved to the National Weather Network where he worked over the weekends and produced weather segments for thirty-five television stations and forty-five radio stations across the United States.
David is a member of the American Meteorological Society as well as of the National Weather Association. He received his seals of approval from the two organizations in the year 1998. Tillman came to Houston’s KTRK-TV, ABC-13 in late 2000 after having left WMC-TV in Memphis. While he was working there as the station’s meteorologist, his job was so good that he received an Emmy for his coverage of a snowstorm that hit the city of Houston. He works at ABC 13 to date with the same passion.
