Don Carrigan Biography
Don Carrigan is an American director, reporter and anchor currently specializing in political reporting at News Center Maine Portland since February 2003, prior to that he worked at WLBZ-TV in Bangor.
Don Carrigan Education
Carrigan attended and graduated from Lincoln Academy in Newcastle in 1969, he later joined the University of Maine in Orono and graduated in 1974. While in college Don began his on air Career in the school radio station.
Don Carrigan Career
After graduation Don landed a job as a photographer, anchor and reporter for WLBZ-TV in Bangor, he then landed a job at WCSH 6 for nearly 18 years before eventually becoming the 6 pm News director and anchor for WLBZ 2.
Carrigan joined the staff of U.S Senator Bill Cohen in 1991, he was working on the different issues affecting Maine. Don later went back to broadcasting in 1994 and became the Executive producer of Public Affairs for Maine’s public television.
Don anchored the weekly Maine Watch anad the monthly Capital Connection programs, he was also in-charge of moderating dozens of political debates and produced a few documentaries and also other specials.
