Jeansonne works as a Meteorologist at WLOX-TV ABC CBS Bounce. He wanted to become a meteorologist as early as the age of 5 years when he experienced Hurricane Andrew. He remembers when he got home from his first day of kindergarten and his mother was taping the windows since the hurricane was approaching. This sparked his interest in weather. Jeansonne studied at the University of Oklahoma where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology, with a minor in Broadcast Journalism in 2012.
Jeansonne started his career as a Weather Intern at CNN in Atlanta, Georgia in May 2009 for 4 months. He later joined KOCO TV in Oklahoma in December 2010, where he served as a Weather Intern for 2 years. This was before he moved to Wichita Falls and joined the team at KFDX Channel 3 in December 2012 as a Meteorologist. He worked for 4 years at KFDX, covering tornado outbreaks and winter storms. He covered one of the biggest tornado outbreaks in 2015 where a dozen tornadoes were reported, including a mile-wide EF-3 tornado. At the time, he worked for long continuous hours informing viewers of the storm. In Jeansonne’s free time, he enjoys relaxing and spending time with his cat, Ciro, exploring different cuisines, and photography.
