He also won many other nominations in the same year. It is his effort at the anchor desk that helped News 8 win the coveted Golden Mike Award.
In 2020, Eric earned an Emmy award for Best Anchor in the region, along with numerous other nominations for his reporting. news category. Before joining News 8, he worked at KMGH, the ABC affiliate in Denver, Colorado, as the main evening anchor. Here he received very many Emmy awards for reporting and anchoring. His viewers turned to him for some of Colorado’s biggest news, investigative, weather, and sports. Such stories include numerous destructive and deadly storms and wildfires, and the Aurora theater shooting trial.
