James Scott Biography
James Scott is an American Weekend Meteorologist currently working for ABC Columbia, since joining the station in June 2019. He became the president of the broadcast club in North Carolina before graduating from North Carolina State University.

Scott studied at Carrboro High School, thereafter, he joined North Carolina State University to study the wide world of weather and graduated in the year 2014. While studying at Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, Virginia, James was a basketball player but he realized this wasn’t his passion and focused on meteorology.

Scott studied at North Carolina State University, during this time at the university, he joined the weather broadcast club but had undecided mind, of whether the TV industry was the right career for him. However, after his first internship at WECT in Wilmington, North Carolina, everything changed, he became inspired by the weather team at WECT where he learned a lot, and eventually, he changed his mind about broadcast meteorology.
Scott, therefore, went for an internship at KARE in Minneapolis the following summer, where his passion for broadcasting grew even bigger. Thus, he would spend about 18 hours in the sunlight every day which really changed his sleeping patterns. Before graduating he was ready to become a brand new meteorologist and more to that he became president of the broadcast club at North Carolina State. Further, Scott is a sportsperson whether it be professional or college. His great interest is in; his beloved North Carolina State Wolfpack, Carolina Hurricanes, Boston Red Sox, Philadelphia Eagles, and Miami Heat, and also he is a basketball fan.
