Jason Chaffetz Biography
Jason Chaffetz is an American journalist who works as a FOX News (FNC) contributor and the host of the Jason In The House podcast on FOX News Radio. He joined the news network in 2017. Jason has been a frequent guest host on FOX News Channel’s Hannity (weekdays, 9-10 PM/ET) and Sunday Morning Futures (Sundays, 10-11 AM/ET) since joining the network.

Chaffetz was raised in California, Arizona, and Colorado after being born in Los Gatos, California. His father, John A. Chaffetz (1935–2012), was a businessman, and his mother, Margaret “Peggy” A. Wood, was a Christian Scientist who eventually joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and owned a photographic studio. Chaffetz, who pioneered federal antitrust prosecution policies later upheld by the United States Supreme Court in United States v. Socony-Vacuum Oil Co., before building Kirkland & Ellis into one of the most powerful law firms in the United States.
Kitty Dukakis (née Dickson), Chaffetz’s father’s first wife, subsequently married Michael Dukakis, the future Massachusetts Governor, and 1988 Democratic presidential nominee. Chaffetz’s father had a four-year relationship with Kitty Dukakis, which resulted in the birth of John Dukakis (born John A. Chaffetz), who was eventually adopted by Michael and Kitty Dukakis. Chaffetz worked as a Utah co-chairman of Michael Dukakis’ 1988 presidential campaign while still in college. Jason is still close to his half-brother and the Dukakis family, according to a 2009 story.
