Jeff Ehling is an American reporter for KTRK ABC13 since January 1999. Ehling was lucky to land this position when his wife got a job in Houston, they, therefore, had to move to Texas and this is when he landed at KTRK as the morning reporter. He went to Valdosta State University where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Television. Jeff enjoys pro football (GO TEXANS) and traveling.

This anchor began his reporting career in 1986 near his hometown of Statenville, Georgia. He worked for an ABC Affiliate WVGA in Valdosta, Georgia for 3 years. After that, he moved to NBC affiliate WMGT in Macon, Georgia.  Jeff then went to work for the CBS affiliate, WCTV, in Tallahassee, Florida in 1990. There, he was the Bureau Chief in Valdosta which gave him an opportunity to again report on the news of the place where he graduated high school and college. He was promoted to Weekend Anchor before he left WCTV.

Six years later, Ehling moved to West Palm Beach, Florida, here, he worked as the general assignment reporter. He values South Florida since it is here he met his wife Marie.

In December of 1999, Marie got a job in Houston, they, therefore, had to move to Texas. In January 1999 Jeff was lucky enough to land a position at KTRK as the morning reporter.

During his time at KTRK, he has covered Operation Iraqi Freedom from Kuwait, and Iraq, hurricanes, and Texas troops guarding the prisoners at Guantanamo, Cuba among others.
