Wang joined CLTV in May 1995 and WGN TV in August 2009. Wang’s 1997 documentary entitled “Gina’s Journey”, won CLTV second place honors from the National Press Photographers Association for Best Documentary which was CLTV’s first national award. She hosted five of CLTV’s “Community of Cultures” programs which were in honor of Asian-American Heritage Month. Wang is a member of the Radio Television News Directors Association and the Asian American Journalists Association.

Wang has also worked as an anchor/reporter at KGAN-TV in Cedar Rapids, Wisconsin, WTZH-TV in Meridian, Mississippi, KOMU-TV in Columbia, Missouri, and WAOW-TV in Wausau. She studied jazz dance and ballet tap prior to beginning her television career. During her free time, Wang enjoys Pilates, shopping, opera, and Broadway shows. She has served as the grand marshal for Chicago’s Chinese New Year parade and as a master of ceremonies for many charity fundraisers. Wang as well works on the advisory board of the Chinese American Service League– the Midwest’s biggest social service agency serving Asian Americans.
