Karen Tso serves as a Co-anchor of the  Squawk Box shows at CNBC Europe, based in London, England. She attended Griffith University, Queensland where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce. This was before she did her Master in Journalism at the University of Westminster, London, and the University of Technology, Sydney. Tso started her career in journalism at AAP after graduating with her bachelor’s. She later joined the Australian Broadcasting Corporation in 2002 where she served as a co-anchor for ‘Lateline’ business news with Tony Jones. In 2005, Tso worked as a Finance Reporter for the Nine Network. She later proceeded to Sky News Australia where she was a Reporter for the Evening ‘Sky Business Report’ news.

While she worked at ABC and Nine Network, she was also a Horse Racing Correspondent. Tso then joined CNBC Asia in October 2008 and anchored ‘Squawk Australia’ where she reported Australian and global business news. This was before she moved to Singapore in 2010 to co-anchor ‘Asia Squawk Box’ with Bernard Lo and Martin Soong. In addition, she also co-anchored ‘The Call’ morning show with Bernard Lo. At the beginning of 2012, She joined CNBC Europe in London to co-anchor ‘Squawk Box Europe’.

Tso has reported from major international events such as the World Economic Forum in Davos, Mobile World Congress, Web Summit, Asia Development Bank, Women’s Forum, and many others. She also covered the French Presidential Election live from Paris. Tso has received recognition as ‘Best News Anchor’ and ‘Highly Commended’ at the 15th Asian Television Awards.
