Carson studied an obtained his high school diploma from a local high school. He later attended and studied to pursue his career in weather at Lyndon State College where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Meteorology in 2001.

Carson began his career in broadcast in 2005 as a meteorologist and a graphics expert at Weather Services International in Boston. He then relocated after two years an seven months to Burlington where he was hired as a meteorologist at WRTZ-TV for two years and about two months.
Carson later joined The Weather Channel as an On-Camera meteorologist for about three years and a few months, he hosted shows including weather presentations, script reading and live interviews. He covered live tornado, blizzard aftermaths and other weather conditions. Keith then finally joining the News Center team as a meteorologist in August 2016.
