Kristi began her career as a reporter for KXXV, Central Texas News, following her graduation from California State University, Northridge. She covered the fatal West Fertilizer Plant Explosion and Recovery, the Waco Biker Gang Shootout, the Fort Hood Massacre, as well as the building and debut of Baylor University’s new McLane Stadium while she was in Waco. After some time, Kristi earned the position of the weekend anchor. Kristi left KXXV to work as the Charlotte County Bureau Multimedia Journalist/Reporter for WINK News, moving further across the county to Fort Myers in Southwest Florida. She covered a wide range of topics over her three years at WINK, including Hurricane Irma, the Red Tide problem, the building and installation of a Vietnam Memorial replica wall, and learning to fly a plane for a story.
Despite her numerous cross-country migrations, Kristi had always wanted to go back to California. When Kristi isn’t working, she’s probably spending time with her family, and friends, or busy getting another passport stamp. Traveling extensively, Kristi has visited five of the seven continents. She just got back from a safari in Africa. She has also visited 15 other nations, including living in Gold Coast, Australia while attending college overseas.
