Baquero created and co-produced several Spanish-language network specials for Telemundo as well as “NELY!” a chat program produced at WCAU-TV in Philadelphia.

She was given the “Woman of Valor” medal by the Israeli Consulate General and was recognized as one of El Diario La Prensa’s “Mujeres Destacadas” (Outstanding Women). She won the “Alumni Achievement” award from the College of Arts and Sciences at New York University, as well as the Hispanic Organization of Latin Actors’ “Excellence in English Language Media” award. Baquero, who is on the board of directors of Let’s Get Ready, a nonprofit that meets the educational needs of adolescents in New York City, is committed to assisting young people in realizing their potential.
