Buchmann went to Grand Valley State University. She interned at WOOD TV8, and WGVU in Grand Rapids while still in school. She also interned at WKFR 100.3 in Kalamazoo. Buchmann holds a major in Broadcasting and a minor in theatre. Buchmann has covered events in the larger Michigan and followed 79 veterans on the Honor Flight to Washington D.C. While working at TV6, she won the 2017 Michigan’s Association of Broadcasters News Reporter Merit Award. It is also then that she was promoted to fill in for positions as the weekend anchor and producer as well as morning live shot reporter.
Buchmann loves all forms of broadcasting and wears a smile both in front of and behind the camera. Outside work, you will find her cheering for the Michigan Wolverines, Detroit Lions, and Tigers since she loves sports. She as well loves camping, hiking, and reading. On the other hand, Nicole is a big fan of Broadway musicals, you will often catch her singing in-between newscasts.
