Paula Tutman is an Emmy-winning television journalist serving as a Local 4 WDIV-TV News reporter. Tutman joined Local 4 in 1992 when she was just 16 years old (not true, but she feels good saying it). She was raised by the Peace Corps and spent her early years in Tanzania and Sierra Leone, both in Africa, which accounts for her peculiar pronunciation of the word “again” as “a-gayne.”

Tutman presently serves as a WDIV-TV News correspondent. Tutman is the founder and board chair of the 501(c)3 non-profit Children’s Tooth Fairy Foundation, which funds education and dental treatment for underprivileged and uninsured children in Southeastern Michigan, including children of active duty military people. She also contributes to the community on behalf of a number of other local businesses that help kids or promote the arts and music.
Paula encourages the community to participate in the care of other people and views community service as her second full-time job. She likes most songs by Alicia Keys and anything by Dave Matthews, but her all-time favorite song is Te Deum from the last scene of Tosca’s first act.
