Paz Vega whose full name is María de la Paz Campos Trigos is a Spanish award-winning actress well known for her current role as Ava Mercer in the new Netflix heist drama series, Kaleidoscope. Previously, her roles of interest included her performance in the comedy Telecinco TV series, 7 Vidas. Moreover, she has credits in the film Sex and Lucia, the romantic comedy-drama Spanglish, the computer-animated comedy Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted, and the comedy All Roads Lead to Rome. Additionally, she is also known for her role in the action thriller Acts of Vengeance and the action Rambo: Last Blood. Paz Vega Husband

Vega married her Venezuelan husband, Orson Salazar, a businessman in 2002, and on May 2007, they welcomed their first child, their second child in July 2009, and their third child in August 2010.  On March 19, 2022, Salazar wrote on Instagram that he thinks that he loves her wife more than he has ever been able to show her. He also said that it has been 20 years together and he intends to keep doing everything he can. Together, Vega, Orson, Ava Salazar, Lenon Salazar, and Orson Salazar Jr. happily live together in their residence.

Paz Vega Career

At 16, María de la Paz Campos Trigos became an actress after attending a performance of Federico Garcia Lorca’s play, La Casa de Bernada Alba. At the same age, Vega completed her compulsory education and was accepted at the Centro Andaluz de Teatro stage school. After studying there for two years, she took another two years studying journalism and moved to Madrid to seek her future. Paz made her TV debut in the Spanish TV series Menudo es mi padre, starring rumba flamenco singer El Fary. Moreover, she has appeared in two other series in 1997, Más que amigos and the teen drama Compañeros. In 1999, Vega made her debut in Zapping as Elvira and also had a minor role in the David Menkes drama romantic comedy, I Will Survive (Sobreviviré) as Azafata alongside Emma Suarez and Juan Diego Botto.

She gained recognition and success in the 1999’s Telecinco TV series 7 Vidas billed as a Spanish Friends. Paz played Laura, a perky Andalusian girl who had come to stay with David who came out of a coma recently. María de la Paz Campos Trigos also participated in the third season of the La 1 cooking reality show MasterChef Celebrity in 2018. Based on the 1986 original telenovela Cuna de Lobos, Paz appeared on Televisa in 2019, portraying the lead character Catalina Creel in the mini-series Cuna de Lobos. She also portrayed an independent Mexican reporter in Rambo: Last Blood co-starring with Sylvester Stallone in 2019.

In 2002 Vegas won the 48th Ondas Awards in the Best Actress category for the film Sex and Lucia and was a nominee in the 57th CEC Medals Best Actress category for the film Mine Alone.  In 2002, Paz also won the 46th Sant Jordi Awards in the Best Spanish Actress category for both films.
