Hirschheimer graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in May 2020 where she pursued Broadcast Journalism and served as an executive producer of Left Bench TV. Previously, she enrolled at Jericho High School in 2012. Hirschheimer kicked off her journalism career in high school serving as a reporting intern for the Anton Media Group, a Long Island newspaper from June 2015. Additionally, she was an anchor/ reporter at Capital News Service in College Park, Maryland During her career, she has made coverage on a variety of topics including the vaccination rollout, the Virginia Governor’s race, and the firing of Charlottesville’s police chief. Furthermore, she led an investigation into why child trafficking is so prevalent in Charlottesville. Although, as a multimedia journalist (MMJ), Hirschheimer works to incorporate natural sound, creative shots, and compelling interviews in every report.
