Redveil is an American rapper and producer originally from Prince George’s County, Maryland. His birth name is Marcus Morton. His music is influenced by jazz and soul, and it has impactful lyrics and seamless flows. Several well-known artists, like Tyler, the Creator, Brockhampton, and many others, have taken note of him and given him appreciation. The album Niagara, which he independently released in August of 2020, generated a ton of online hype and propelled him to underground prominence.

Redveil made his debut in the AG community when he joined the group’s fourth song, “TRUTH,” which served as a prelude to the FYE Pt. 1 and Pt. 2 projects. The boys traveled to Maryland to work on the track’s visuals, where they hooked up with redveil for a “cool walk in the woods with a side order of glow in the dark night vision.”
Morton characterized his music as “triumphant, brilliant and cheery” in 2020. He shares a monotonous and frigid rapping delivery with Earl Sweatshirt, whose sound is frequently used to compare him. His top five rappers include Kendrick Lamar, Earl Sweatshirt, Tyler, The Creator, J. Cole, and $uicideboy$. He thinks that the online music community has done more to influence his sound than the PG County music scene has.
