Rowena Shaddox is an American journalist serving as the Solano County Bureau Chief for FOX40 News. Shaddox worked as a newspaper reporter for 11 years before joining FOX40 News.

Shaddox currently contributes to FOX40 News. The immediate storytelling on television kept her yearning to report on TV. She would hand-deliver dummy reports to all of the Sacramento stations while recording them, having no expertise from working in smaller areas. Rowena received a two-page letter from a former Fox40 news director advising her to stick with print because switching to television would require her to relocate in order to get expertise. She kept that letter for a few years in her underwear drawer.

She is appreciative of her position as Solano County Bureau Chief today. She has reported on infamous killings and killers for the majority of the roughly 20 years that she has covered that county. Police gave her credit for clearing the murder of an innocent 21-year-old Fairfield man at the time.
