Sam Rogers is an American journalist currently working as a reporter and Multi-skilled Journalist at NEWS CENTER Maine, in Portland since September 2019.

Rogers developed his love for the media when he attended a summer camp called ‘Sports Center for Kids’ in his hometown. While at the camp they were taught how to research and write a news story and also gave them editing, shooting, and anchoring experience on TV. Sam attended the camp from second grade up until high school.
After high school, Rogers studied and graduated from the University of New Hampshire where he attained his broadcast journalism career in 2019. He got the nickname ‘Director of Morale’ from his fellow peers.
While he was still at the university, he worked as the sports director at the campus radio station, WUNH. He was the play by play broadcaster at UNH for the football, hockey and Lacrosse games. Rogers was also a school sports staff writer for the school paper reporting basketball beats and hockey.

Rogers started his tenure after graduation at NCM as an ‘MSJ’ at the Bangor station in September 2019. He stayed there for about two years then finally moved to Portland newsroom where he continues to cover business, politics, events, and sports stories.
