Stefano DiPietrantonio is serving as a Morning News Anchor and Reporter at FOX 19 WXIX in Cincinnati. He studied at Florida State University where he graduated in 1986. He then attended West Virginia University obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism in 1989. DiPietrantonio started his career in journalism in October 2009 as a Reporter and Anchor at FOX 19 WXIX.
He worked here for 2 years before moving to Tampa, Florida, and joining WTVT-FOX13 as an Evening Breaking news and Feature Reporter in October 2011. He covered newscasts between 5:00 and 7:00 pm. In December 2013, he joined WVAH, a FOX 11 affiliate in Charleston, as an Evening Anchor and Reporter, covering the 5:00 pm news. DiPietrantonio later returned to FOX 19 in July 2017 as an Investigative Reporter and Anchor. In August 2019, he started co-anchoring the traffic alert desk as well as breaking news at 11:00 am on FOX 19 Now, till date.
He has over 30 years of experience behind the anchor desk. He has won Best Breaking News Reporter and Best Hard News Reporter awards in West Virginia State and has been nominated for three Emmys. DiPietrantonio has done live broadcasts in New York, Charleston, Tampa Bay, South Carolina, West Virginia, Myrtle Beach, and Cincinnati. He is also a singer and songwriter who has performed all over the United States, Central America, and Italy, including having sung the National Anthem at the Reds and Tampa Bay Rays games.
He has, in addition, been part of the soul and blues band ‘The Esquires’. DiPietrantonio enjoys exploring new restaurants and Italian dishes. This comes from growing up in an Italian family and some of his uncles who owned bakeries and restaurants. His partner and he own a vintage home store TESORI from where they sell coffee and gourmet biscotti from family recipes.
