Stephanie Lin Career
Stephanie worked as an anchor and reporter for KCRA 3, an NBC affiliate in Sacramento, California, before joining KRON 4. She oversaw the station’s coverage of the significant protests following George Floyd’s passing there. Her reportage brought viewers close to the many deadly wildfires that have ravaged the state, including the Caldor Fire, which compelled the evacuation of the Lake Tahoe region. Lin graduated in 2008 with a B.A. in mass communication and a minor in Chinese from UC Berkeley.
Additionally, Stephanie covered the mass shooting at the San Jose VTA railyard, President Trump’s response to the terrible Camp Fire, and the historic election of the nation’s first Sikh female mayor. She questioned how COVID-19 vaccine distribution was being handled by political officials, and this allowed hundreds of seniors to receive their first possibly life-saving shot. To address the spike in anti-Asian violence and hate crimes in California, Stephanie also spoke with state lawmakers and the FBI.
