Quirk went to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in August 2017 majoring in journalism with a specialization in community health. Afterward, she served as a carry-out clerk at Salerno’s from April 2017 to August 2017 and has always been fascinated by what’s going around the world whether it be global, national, or local news. Growing up, Stephanie dreamt of being a reporter and has the ability to tell people stories in an educating way. From May 2018 for 4 months, she worked at Broadcast Management Group, Inc. as a production intern and was a sponsorship chair at Delta Delta Delta Sorority for 3 years since January 2019 before being a Bar waitress the same year also for 3 years. According to Quirlk, the best part of being a journalist is getting to meet and learn about different people every day.
Stephanie thinks it is awesome making connections with people who she may have not crossed paths with and as a journalist and believes that her role is to keep everyone involved in what is going on throughout the community. She also thinks that getting both sides of a story is important in delivering the truth to the public domain. When she is not working, Quirk loves trying new restaurants and different types of food and also spends her leisure time with her friends and family and likes to water ski a lot and would as well love to be an avid hiker. Stephanie likes any citrusy beer or raspberry lemonade, sandwiches, and chocolate peanut butter ice cream from Oberweis. Summer is her favorite season and she as well loves watching Interstellar, Argo, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, and Inside Out.
