Before joining FOX 9, he was the political reporter at FOX6 Milwaukee WITI-TV in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. At WITI-TV, he led a team of reporters covering a battleground state that determined the 2016 presidential election. Theo also coordinated staffing, content, and logistics for dozens of major candidate events. Extensively, he made coverage on then-House Speaker Paul Ryan of Wisconsin by developing rapport with the speaker and his staff. Moreover, he covered the Foxconn deal, a nexus of international business, government lobbying, and public relations.
In addition, Keith also worked at WISC-TV in Madison, as a news reporter where he tracked the historic 2012 recall of Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker and Ryan’s bid for the vice presidency that same year. He also won an Edward R. Murrow award for researching, sourcing, and explaining how much money Madison’s problem panhandlers made on the streets. In the bargain, Theo was the political reporter at WAVE 3 News in Louisville, Kentucky, that dived him into national politics while covering U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell’s ascent to majority leader. Additionally, he investigated corruption in local governments leading to changes, and launched a one-man state Capitol bureau during legislative sessions.
His Broadcasting career kicked off while reporting on government and politics at the Missouri State Capitol, learning the legislative process while reporting for KMOX-AM in St. Louis and KOMU-TV in Columbia/Jefferson City. At KMOX/ Audacy he served as a political reporter and teaching assistant making two investigations into Governor Jay Nixon’s travel patterns forced legislative action. In 2010, Keith was a reporting intern at Bloomberg in Detroit, Michigan for less than a year. He covered the auto industry’s comeback after the historic bankruptcies of two of the domestic Big Three automakers. Theo also attained a national Society of American Business Editors and Writers award for reporting on the effects of the UAW’s concession of the infamous jobs bank in labor negotiations. In his leisure time, Keith loves golfing, and reading, and enjoys being in the kitchen trying new recipes and posting photos of his creations on social media.
