Tiffany Murphy Career
Murphy went to Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, in Broadcast Communications, and Political Science between 2005 – 2009. Further, she studied Criminal Justice and Homeland Security-Terrorism between 2010 – 2012 at Tiffin University. She was brought up in southwestern Iowa. It is here that began her broadcasting radio career when she got a job at a country music station as an eighth grader. Tiffany has also lived and worked in Des Moines, Santa Barbara, Missoula, and Las Vegas.
Currently, Tiffany works for ABC6 in Southern New England, she is actually happy to call this place home. Previously, she was working in Texas where she stayed for 6 years. While working in Texas, she covered numerous notable stories including a chemical plant explosion in the middle of the night that knocked homes off their foundations. When Hurricane Harvey hit Southeast Texas, it brought six feet of rain to the area and Tiffany, therefore, worked day and night keeping the people of that area posted on everything that happened.
From Jan 2010 – Apr 2011, Tiffany worked as an Assistant Speech Coach under Mrs. Lois Rose while helping prepare high school students for multiple speech competitions. She loves everything outdoors, during her free time, you will find her either with her animals: Teddy, Roman, Calvin & Klein, or with her Goddaughter. She also likes volunteering in community work, reading crime novels, or traveling to new and exciting places.
