Tim Blotz is an American five-time Emmy award-winning journalist currently working as an anchor/ reporter for Fox 9’s (KMSP-TV) in Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul Area. He successfully launched Fox 9’s news 6:30 to 8 p.m. evening newscasts achieving an immediate rating success. Further, he cultivated and grew the market’s first transportation beat in the Twin Cities and reported from the State Capitol strengthening Fox 9’s political coverage as its Capitol reporter.

Growing up in Wisconsin and living for a while in New Mexico, Tim calls Minnesota his home as a BIG Gophers fanatic. He enrolled in a Washington Semester Program in National Government at the American University studying Political Science. Likewise, he is an alum of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Communication. In 2009 at the University of St. Thomas- Opus College of Business, he graduated with a Mini Masters in Business Communication. Moreover, Tim also got his Master of Arts degree in Strategic Communication at the University of Minnesota.
From 2000 to 2003, Blotz served as an anchor/reporter for KOAT 7-TV and also served as a freelance executive producer for Christopher productions, Chris Schueler. With other experiences, he served at WFRV-TV in Green Bay, Wisconsin as a main news anchor and at WTMJ-TV in Milwaukee, Wisconsin as a weekend anchor/reporter. From 2003 to 2004, Tim was the owner of Timothy Blotz Productions in Albuquerque, New Mexico Area.

Tim has also done extensive work with the Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance by reporting on its ground-breaking Unmasking Brain Injuries project. Every year Tim hosts the organizations Walk for Thought and the Strides for Stroke Walk. He also conducted qualitative brand elicitation research for Camp Fire’s Camp Tanadoona to start at a new brand promise and messaging architecture.
