Bell worked there for some time doing promotion work for a beer company. After some time, the company gave him a transfer to Dallas, and while he go there, he started doing open mics at various comedy clubs.

He was cast as “RJ” the bartender in the NBC sitcom Whitney and later as “Tedward” in NBC’s Bad Judge.
