After graduating from college, Trent started his broadcasting career at Tyler in Texas which is near his hometown, he was working for the local NBC affiliate. While working there, Trent covered the massive tornado outbreak of 2019 that leveled many small towns, it actually killed so many people in the Deep South. Just recently Trent was working at KAKE News as an Anchor in Wichita, Kansas. He, in fact, was lucky to win an Edward R. Murrow Award, he also has a passion for people.
In addition to the massive tornado, Trent also covered Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Laura. Also, he was part of Nexstar’s first week on the air with News Nation doing live reports from the coast during Hurricane Laura. It is important to mention that, every summer as he grew up, Trent and his family would visit the Florida coast. He is, therefore, very happy to now call the Sunshine State his new home. He, in fact, loves going to the beach and has a 10-lbs dachshund called Stella who likes to follow everywhere he goes.
