Tyler went to Florida State where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in meteorology. Immediately after, he joined WJHG/WECP in Panama City Beach where he worked for 4 and a half years. While working there, he really helped steer viewers through one of the worst hurricanes in U.S. history. In fact, Hurricane Michael which is Category five ravaged the Panhandle and also impacted parts of Georgia and Alabama. At that time, Tyler stayed at the station for many days informing residents before, during, and after the storm. It took several weeks before things got to normal.

Afterward, Tyler moved from tropical weather for some years when he went to Johnson City, TN for3 years to work at WJHL. That is when he reported 10 inches of snow! On his first day there. Currently, Tyler works at WTVM on weekdays, he is happy to work here since Chattahoochee Valley is a bit warmer and also because it is closer to Florida where his family lives. For his love of the community, he really interacts with people on social media. In addition, he teaches students about the weather by visiting schools. Tyler likes to cheer on the Noles when he is out of work. Further, he enjoys traveling, eating at local restaurants, and generally exploring the outdoors.
