Tyler Ryan is an award-winning TV and radio personality, writer, and speaker currently working at ABC Columbia. On the other hand, he works as an emcee and public speaker, in the Midlands and beyond anytime he is not on TV. Ryan joined ABC Columbia as the weatherman and host for Good Morning Columbia in September 2016.

Ryan started his career during hair rock in Keene, New Hampshire at a small radio station. It is after graduating from college that he got some interest in country radio working as an event host and morning personality. This role helped him to climb the ladder to television and soon he was now a veejay and a spokesman at a local station. Within 10 years of working there, Ryan then became an Anchor at Cat Country in Charleston. Additionally, he also was doing emcee jobs and also did public speaking while still working in television.
Further, Tyler was lucky to join the new country radio station in Columbia in 2005. Here, he worked as the community liaison and morning show host. In addition, he made frequent trips to Nashville to build promotions, meet, and interview some of the biggest country celebrities. But he did not stop working in the community, as he still served on boards, and acted as emcee for more than 100 community events in one year.
2006 was another eventful year for Tyler since that is when he joined WACH-TV, in Columbia which is a Fox affiliate, working as a weatherman. Eventually, he became an anchor and a host, and still, he was serving as the Executive Producer for Good Day Columbia for a number of years. While working there he produced many franchise programs, he also hosted a cooking competition show. Further, he hosted the award-winning series “Tyler’s Travels” and “Food Friday.” In addition, Ryan was able to host a full-length program focusing on the Basic Training program at Fort Jackson.
Achievement
Additionally, Ryan covered breaking news such as; Columbia’s long search for a new Chief of Police, several investigative pieces surrounding unsolved crimes and the dangers of the Internet, the Gabbie Swainson disappearance, and the AME shooting in Charleston. As such, he was honored and named the South Carolina Broadcasters Association Television Personality of the Year 2013, and many other community affairs awards. In addition to that, he has been nominated for and has won many regional and local awards for his media work in both radio and television throughout his career.
As an emcee and public speaker, Tyler has hosted very many high-profile events including; the Cancer of Many Colors event, different chambers of commerce, SC Home Builders Association, Ian Beckles Blue and White Party in Tampa, The First Responders 9-11 Ceremony, Lexington Medical Center’s Women’s Night Out, and the Famously Hot New Year. Further, he has hosted events for The Tennessee Breast Cancer Coalition. On the other hand, he is the President of the Eagle Cold Case and Missing Person Institute. He also heads The Adam Turner Foundation, The South Carolina First Responders Memorial, and many more affiliations.

Ryan is a member of the iHeart media family, where he hosts the syndicated radio program Carolina Cares. Also, he appears on more than 30 radio stations every week. Recently, he launched the Unfinished Files series, where he works with missing person cases and cold case homicides. Outside work, he loves being with his dog, Nixon, on Lake Murray, acting as a boat charter Master Captain.
