Victor Williams Biography
Victor Williams is an American journalist serving as a Local 4 WDIV-TV News Reporter. After working for WOIO in Cleveland, OH, WLOX News in Biloxi, MS, and WBBJ in Jackson, TN, Williams joined Local 4 News in October 2019. Williams discovered early on that he was a gifted writer and speaker, and this led him to fall in love with journalism.
Victor Williams Career
Williams currently serves as a Local 4 News correspondent. Victor attended Benjamin E. Mays High School and was a student in the scientific and math school there. He was selected as a reporter for the District’s monthly newscast “APS Today” before he graduated. Victor enrolled in Georgia Highlands College in 2011 after receiving his diploma from Mays High School. Victor participated in a range of extracurricular activities while attending Highlands.
Belonging to the Science and Math Club, the Northwest Crescent Leadership Alliance, serving as Vice President of Phi Theta Kappa (Honors Society), and serving as President of Brother 2 Brother, a group committed to the achievement of minority guys, were among those activities. Victor earned an associate’s degree in Communications from Highlands in 2013 and afterward went to Georgia State University, where he studied journalism.
He worked as a reporter and news anchor for GSTV News, an award-winning student news program, while attending Georgia State University. Before graduation in 2015, he worked as an intern for Atlanta, Georgia’s WSB-TV News. Skateboarding has been Victor’s pastime for almost 20 years; you can usually find him doing it when he’s not at work. He is thrilled to be a member of the Local 4 News team now.
